My life - update
I just discovered the internet is down at my house. I don't know how long it's been down -- I canceled my land phone line about two months ago and I wonder if they shut it off then by mistake. (I just don't have time to do anything for myself at home.)
In my next life, I get to be Cole. We just had his birthday dinner (Cole, me, Michelle and John T.) and he made out like a bandit. Hands down favorite gift? Camera from Mike. It's so cool. A little kid camera (which is great because Cole broke my last camera) with two eye viewfinder (like binoculars) and grips on each side for kids to hold. Cole is such a trip. (He took a picture of Michelle's err... chest.) As soon as I can pry it from his hands, I will bring the camera to work and download some of his pictures. Unfortunately, he kinda doesn't get the delete function, so I don't know how many pictures are left on the camera.
Speaking of dinner, I made chicken and rice, cornbread and steamed carrots. I guess I don't cook much because as Cole was eating, he would look quizzically at his fork, put the food in his mouth and say, "Yummy?" like he'd never eaten a warm meal before and was shocked that it came from our kitchen.
I'm doing fine. I'm really glad that Mike and I are conversing again. Even though we don't agree on everything, I really do wish him well. (If I didn't think he was a good guy, I never would have married him.):-)
Had a weird Friday at work. I work at an ad agency, and the creative department decided to have a "cape day." Since I was already at work when I found out about it, I had to MacGuyver a cape. I used a blanket I keep at my desk and some binder clips and accessorized with a paperclip necklace. All hail the Office Supply Queen!
What bothers me is: I walked around all day and almost nobody noticed my ensemble. Seriously. Now, what do I normally wear to make this "Just another day in Gail-world?" Oh well.
