So Greg is away, and I am technically the only editor in the house. Victor is still a temp. Soon he'll be official and we'll have three editors in our department. There's more work to do while Greg's at NYC Popfest, but it's nice to have the office to myself.

I ordered my Mac. It should arrive today or tomorrow. Whee!

I played Rock Band last night with the IT group--a good bunch of guys. They wanted a singer, and the Oddball volunteered me. I had to go up to hard because I kept getting perfect scores on medium. Hard is a challenge. It does kind of remind me my sightreading skills aren't as good as they used to be. It's not sheet music, but I know I'm out of practice.

I also bought organic pork (enough for two people) last night for three bucks, to prove to the Oddball that organic meat is not necessarily more expensive. If we're going to cook together, we must eat organic meat (no factory farms!). Otherwise I'll cook for myself. Sorry. That's how it is. He eats out a lot, and I know organic meat is not more expensive than eating out. If you know the secrets (like buying out a store's chicken at half price when it's reached the sell-by date, and then freezing it), you can get good deals. Also, you do not need to eat very much meat. People eat very big portions. A portion should be the size of your palm, and you really can get full on that and a ton of vegetables. (Buying lots of organic produce does get expensive, but going to the farmers' market helps.) And organic eggs are delicious and so good for you. The local ones are a little more expensive, but eggs are still relatively cheap.
