This isn't going to be lengthy, because my day has been long enough as it is.
We knocked out the last 10-hour workday for the week. This day was especially nice and out of the ordinary, because I was actually able to get with a couple other guys and do some genuine teamwork- a necessary course of events because we were working on some lengthy cove lighting that was segmented and had to be assembled into 19- 22- and 24-foot-long sections before being mounted inside a wall cut-out. To add to the trouble: the cut-outs were not of the proper length, so we had to do the framers' work for them and remeasure and cut the wall sections to the proper length. Frankly though, it's fun to run into new problems and figure out solutions and/or ways around them- not that cutting out a section of sheetrock is all that difficult, but cutting it out AND having the light section fit firmly and snugly in place when seating it...now *that* is a pretty decent accomplishment.
The lighting on this job, in general, is a huge mess- some of the systems are ridiculously extravagant, others are basic but significantly overcomplicated and annoying to work through even if you're experienced with them. I've done a lot of corrective work on this job- finding out something incorrect that someone else did and undoing it making it right; it's time-consuming but necessary- and I'll probably do a lot more of it before the job is finished. Anyway, it was fun to have a day where I wasn't more or less completely alone, and encountering some new challenges.
Israel found *another* UNRWA building that has been (used as) a Hamas terrorist asset:

If we had an active terrorist enclave here in the US, I'm sure I'd wish the same.
Last but not least: the Trump trial verdict. I don't care what the pundits, politicians, or New York judges say: this was a sham trial, and a grand travesty of justice. Again. Trump has described himself as a political prisoner- and, like the January 6th victims of the legal system's weaponized persecution, I tend to agree. This day will probably be remembered in history, and likely as much more than a footnote- no matter who is declared the winner of the election.
Frankly, I think overall support of Trump will increase as a result of this trial: I know that my support of him hasn't wavered on account of the verdict. Whether I'm wrong or not, we'll find out in the following weeks and months.
God is good. That is all.
