Character Information
General
Canon Source: Pandora Hearts
Canon Format: Animanga
Character's Name: Elliot Nightray
Character's Age: 16 years old (17 years old due to his year spent in Siren's Pull previously)
Conditional: If your character is 13 years of age or under, please clarify how they will be played. N/A
What form will your character's NV take?
A similar book to the one of the Holy Knight series.
Abilities
Character's Canon Abilities: Elliot is able to play the piano quite well, coming up with a tune for his mother on her birthdays. Also, he has quite the swordsmanship skill. He can go sword to sword with a Baskerville and looks up to one of the most skilled swordsmen in his time (Xerxes Break). Due to this, he works hard on his training to become the best he could. Other than that, he's pretty useless on his own with everyday household tasks since he has been waited on hand and foot since he was a child. He even had someone dress him-- even when he went into adulthood. (i.e; Leo helping him fix his collar)
On another note (even if the powers no longer exist), Elliot used to have the chain Humpty Dumpty. The Head Hunter. This chain manifested as what would oddly represent a twisted version of Humpty Dumpty from the stories, using it's tongue to lash out and decapitate it's victim. But as stated, this Chain no longer exists due to Elliot having rejected it. But at the price of doing so, it was also the cause of Elliot's passing.
Conditional: If your character has no superhuman canon abilities, what dormant ability will you give them? Astral Projection, which is the power of having an outer body experience and creating a second astral body whilst his true body is laying else where. But only for a limited amount of time. Within this amount of time, his physical body is open to any harm that may come his way which is the downside of such an ability.
Weapons: His weapon he carries at all time is his own sword. He’s learned to use it as well as he can, but apart from any other weapons, he has none. This sword is a family heirloom so he never lets it out of his sight and holds it on his side whenever he leaves the house.
History/Personality/Plans/etc.
Character History:
Link. If you have any question or need of anything else, feel free to ask. Though I think everything you need is within there.
Point in Canon: Post Death.
Conditional: Brief summary of previous RP history:
He was in Siren's Port for a year previously before leaving, starting off at a small condo with his two brothers (Vincent and Gilbert Nightray) somewhere within Sector 4. His first impressions on people weren't too great, but he wasn't necessarily to blame for most of it. He was in a new place without anything he previously had back home so what else was he to do? He couldn't cook, he couldn't do anything on his own so it was only inevitable that he'd be more temperamental than his usual self. But he only stayed within that type of location for a small amount of time, perhaps a month or two, before his elder brother had them transport to what was known as the Phancyhive Mansion. He had lived there ever since with the countless others (a few seeming to enjoy grating his nerves). But he can't admit he'd hate all of it. Everything started to seem okay before he went back to his world for a week and then returned with the memory of him losing his sister.
From that point on, things pretty much went downhill for Elliot Nightray. Little did he know, he took back with him the curse of the Head Hunter chain that killed his brothers and sister and for a length of just a few months, it had began killing residents within Siren's Port. It seemed like a never ending spree until he met quite the odd animal, Kyubey.
Showing Elliot the wrong he had done, Kyubey gave him the chance to grant him a wish that would rid himself of the horrid Chain in exchange of fighting Witches and becoming a Puella Magi. Taking this chance, Elliot had agreed and from that moment on, Humpty Dumpty was sealed away in a gem that held Elliot's soul as well in the Port.
Character Personality:
Elliot Nightray can be considered hot headed within most situations. He’s quite outspoken and doesn’t bother caring what others say for the most part. He’ll go out of his way and even shove his own opinions onto others around him. He doesn’t enjoy his faults being pointed out or jabbed at; the character who seems to do such a thing to Elliot would be his own attendant, Reo. He finds it a way to keep him ‘in-line’ whenever he has a fit of his own. He also tends to get a swift smack to the back of his head when such a thing happens. Once this occurs, Elliot is sure to get even angrier before his temper begins to cool down in the slightest. He also tends to have quite the foul language every once in awhile when he’s erupting into one of his enormous anger fits.
He’s also a very easy person to set off, as well. The smallest insult or action towards him can have him screaming at the tops of his lungs. For example, the first time he met Oz. He was purely calm upon the first few moments of the meeting, but moment Elliot spoiled a series for the other and got into Elliot’s face with screaming, his short temper had snapped and his angrier side surfaced. Also during his first encounter with Oz, he seemed to give an example of forcing his own thoughts onto others seeing as he tried to convince Oz that Edgar was an idiot for giving his life for the sake of others within the series (though that didn’t change much, Edgar still happened to be Oz’s favorite character).
But near the end of Elliot's life, the previous statement given may seem quite hypocritical. He might have come to a realization that depending on the situation, a life may be taken to save others. Perhaps not, but due to his sacrifice, the (false) Head Hunter had stopped it's actions and ceased to exist along with Elliot himself. But the thoughts going through his mind may have been that he no longer had family (given the exception of his father) to burden with a self-sacrifice. And with that, he gave his life to put a stop to the murders that had taken his sister and brothers*.
( *He ended up killing his own mother with his sword, even if he were under the influence of the Head Hunter )
Even though most of the time Elliot wears an annoyed and angry expression, that doesn’t mean he’s completely displeased with the world. There is a softer side to this teenager, he just refuses to show it to most. But when it calls for it, Elliot seems a bit shy and caring in such situations. Even around his sister Vanessa, Elliot doesn’t tend to show his sweet side unless time calls for it. For example, he even tries to go the lengths of cheering them up whenever someone he sees is crying or close to it like he did with his sister. Reassuring her he’d always be there for her no matter what and that he would not die so easily (seeing as she was crying over how he was the only one she had left after their brothers had been killed by the head hunter).
Elliot isn’t always angry or gentle; his moods sometime exceed into middle ground. After all, he is a noble and he has been taught how to act properly. Though, using such manners is on him and him alone. His childhood seemed to have affected the molding of his thinking. He was never one to think on a subject before hand; Elliot is one to dive-in head first, seeing how he first hated anyone by the Vessalius (because he thought that just because they were the descendants of a hero, they could go about doing whatever they wanted without consequences.) name without getting to know those baring such a title. But as time went on, he learned to accept them for who they were instead of taking the name into consideration. To give small proof to this, he even showed up at Oz’s second Coming-Of-Age ceremony out of politeness and respect. Also, when Oz suggested that they should be friends “because it might inspire the two families”, Elliot didn’t rid the thought like he would have long ago. Although he did say, “You know that may not work, but it is worth giving a try.”
On occasions, Elliot can seem quite calm and collected. Though these occurrences sometimes seem rare, that does not mean they do not happen. Times that Elliot seem docile are when he’s on his own with Reo relaxing within his own room or simply finding no threat within anyone’s attitude. He also tends to feel at peace when he plays the piano; making that another moment where his raging emotions seem docile.
Within this fuming mood of his lies true determination and motivation for what he seems to set his eyes on at the time. Like his dedication to finding the Head Hunter who killed his two brothers, and now even his sister right before him (even though he woke up from becoming unconscious and did not catch a glimpse of who the killer was). It can surely be said that this fury of his feeds his need to keep moving and reach the end of his much needed goal. Also, his strong pride for the Nightray name sends him on a journey to strive for what he need to accomplish said goal seeing as how his family is very important to him. And even though he did not inherit the chain Raven (as it was supposed to be; Gilbert required it instead) he stated that he would still support his family in his own way.
Conditional: Personality development in previous game: Over the previous year, not much has changed about Elliot. He still gets extremely angered; the temper he holds would never change completely. But that doesn't necessarily mean he hasn't been trying. He was told his temper had taken toll on some of those around him and from then on, he tried just a tiny bit harder to hold his tongue when the time called for it. He has also come to accept his own brother instead of constantly hating him for "abandoning" the Nightray house long ago in his own time. They bonded quite a bit, but there are still times he feels like throwing that poor pathetic man through a wall.
But apart from just his temper, he also discovered how to become more accepting of others and slightly more affectionate. This had been caused by Snake (Kuroshitsuji) having quite an effect on the Nightray boy. Surely their first meeting wasn't the most desired one, but as time went by he had begun caring for the reptilian man more and more. One could say he had become protective over him and therefore became the person closest to Elliot in all Siren's Port. It's thanks to him he had been giving Gilbert more chances as to redeem himself as well.
Character Plans:
Since Elliot has died in his own time, he's come to term with it and figured dwelling on the matter was a waste of time. Upon coming back to Siren's Port, he'll have all his previous memories from his last time there and will live off of those instead of worrying about getting back home this time. He has no reason to, so he'll try to make a new life in the Port accumulating of activities such as going back to school and even trying to learn to drive... which could just as well end as horribly as one could imagine.
Appearance/PB:
Link, derp. And it isn’t in the picture, but he has a small beauty mark under his left eye.

[Great. He thought he was done with this place but here he was again.. Staring at what seemed like the baseball diamond nearby and people invading his personal space asking him questions as to who he was-- etc. etc... This was the worst. But the first chance he got, he flicked his familiar NV on and stared at the device before speaking.] And here I thought I'd be gone completely.
[To be honest, it wasn't something he would want. He was dead back home and such an existence was futile. He slowly accepted that when he first died. But was it necessary for the Pull to continue causing a strain on his body when he was brought here? Either way--] I'm back, so.. Gilbert. Are you still here? [A pause.] I'm sorry.. to a number of you, I suppose. I don't know how long I've been gone but it appears this damn place hasn't had it's fill of me yet.
Tch. Whatever. Someone just get me home already. [And with that, the NV feed turned off.]

This pain, what was it? He hasn’t had a throbbing ache running through his entire body like this before-- he could hardly move! Elliot’s eyes remained closed for the time being, trying to collect his head. He felt like he was just thrown across the room by an enormous being. The male’s breathing quickened as he rolled onto his side the best he could, a single gloved hand clasped over his eyes. Come on, get yourself together..! was the current thought going through his mind.
As he tried to take in a deep inhale, he took in a bit of dust in the process. This seemed to cause a small fit of coughing. The Nightray noble got upon all fours slowly as the hand that was previously blocking his vision jolted to his mouth. He felt the much needed urge to vomit; he felt extremely nauseous all of a sudden. He was able to move his body with a bit more ease now but that didn’t account for the pain that still caused this soreness within his bones. Elliot finally opened his eyes and found it fairly dark around him. This was not the Nightray estate! He glanced around as he raised his torso, settling upon his knees with a small pained groan. A baseball field, that’s what seemed to be around him. To the poor boy, it just seemed like a peculiar field (seeing as the sport doesn’t seem to exist within his time). How he got here, he wasn’t even sur--.. Wait a minute.
His sword, where was his sword?! Frantic hands searched the ground around him until he grasped his precious belonging before he pulled it to him. With a small moment of rest given, he placed the sword’s tip against the ground. Using his weapon as his own crutch, Elliot raised himself from the ground as his eyes did their best to adjust to such darkness.
He suddenly didn’t feel the least bit safe. “What the hell..?” His mind finally clicked, this wasn’t even anywhere near his housing let alone anywhere near anything he even knew. His stomach wrenched once more, the nausea coming and going. If it wasn’t for his own sword, he wasn’t sure if he would be able to stand. The ground below him seemed to be moving. Elliot grasped the side of his head gently, muttering quietly to himself. “Why.. Why am I so dizzy..? Damnit, where am I?!” This wasn’t good. Not one bit.
He turned around, trying to make something of such surroundings but before he was able, he heard a small crunch on the ground behind him. His heart seemed to stop, freezing in his tracks. He didn’t even want to dare to look behind him but did he have a choice?! Slowly, he got the courage to turn around to make a silhouette out in the darkness. Was it a friend or an enemy? Hell, he didn’t know. He just wanted answers! After all, he had his sword for protection, right?! Hah, that would be if he was able to get rid out of this string of reeling. Then, he gained the courage to speak out. “Hey, you!”
..No response. Did it not hear him? This seemed to be wearing down his patience, not that he had much to begin with. “I’m talking to you!” Before he knew it, the figure seemed to be going away. This caused him to snap. Taking a step forward, Elliot shifted his weight even more upon his Nightray blade before trying to shout at the top of his lungs.
“Don’t you walk away from me when I’m talking to you, you bastard!”
That seemed to cause a reaction within the figure, seeing as it stopped in it’s tracks. Suddenly, he didn’t feel that had been such a good idea after all.
