Critical mass

Ok here's my life lately:

New job. Starting to get the hang of it. It's rather complex, and a mistake could mean someone goes without food for days. Luckily I'm still at the phase where people are checking my work. 40 hours monday through friday.

Kafe Kerouac: Relaxing. Can think about getting stuff done, but the flow of customers usually prevents that. Pretty much pays for my rent. 11 hours on Sundays, which bumps my work week up to 51 hours. I know I've got nothing on someof you (Kevin I'm looking your way), but then there's:

Skin of Our Teeth: A production done down at the Davis Center. The tech elements are pretty much done by the skin of our teeth. The place hasn't stayed open later than 6, and is close weekends, which means I've seen almost none of the rehearsal process. Finally on Friday I was able to hang and focus 90% of the plot. Saturday I hung another 8%, need a few more lights. Then I dropped gel and started to program cues. They have a ETC express. Simple but effective board, but I'm used to PC Stage now so it's taking me a while. That and I realized mid way through that I just haven't seen enough of the show to really cue it. Hell there are whole SONGS that aren't in the script that I just found out about a few days ago.

-Stripped Away: Lonnie: supposed to be off book today for Act 1. Actually think I'm doing OK, but we'll see during rehearsal. Missing rehearsal tonight because of Kafe Kerouac.
-Set Degign: Well Andy and I went over a rough outline. Held back because, well, I didn't have a good scale drawing of the space, and frankly Skin of our Teeth was more pressing.
-lighting design: not nearly as worried about. I have a drawning now and a template, and Madlab has plenty of lights.

-3 and 30: OK I haven't had to do to much with this yet, except attend a few meetings, read some stuff, and help make a decision. However I was inspired to write. I didn't think I'd have enough time to write, so I didn't submit my concept in time. The play came out anyway, and I'm really happy with it. I may submit it to next years roulette.

-Social stuff: Some where in there I try to sneak in some time to see people, but mostly I'm disappointedly not around.

So basically I've hit critical mass. I'll be better after hell week is over, but right now I'm really stressed. I've got to learn to saying no to projects and over loading my schedual. Still I hate saying no.
