Hanging out with Philip and the others wasn't bad at all and I am glad I did go. We went to this really cheap steak house for dinner and after that we were playing pool at this other place. It was fun. I just hate that I had to leave that early - it's so hard to get back to my place at night - I hate Berlin's public transportation at night...

glad you had fun! public transportation at night... so how late does public transportation operate in berlin. for me too, i guess i can't stay out much later than midnight or one if i want to get home by train. no buses, and taxis-forget it.

Well, the last train arrives at 1am at my place. The train I took yesterday goes to another station a little further from my place - but it arrives at 1 something too. The next train goes at around 4am - so there are no trains between 1 and 4. There are night buses though but it's so hard to figure out (I'm too lazy). There is always a way to get back to my place - but it can take forever. I hate it. Sometimes I wish I lived downtown. It's funny how we are in the same situation :]

the same situation... i don't think so. your situation is much better. there are no night buses that go to my house. and the last train usually leaves central tokyo around 12:30. if i miss that, i basically have to spend the night there. the next train is not until almost 5 a.m. something around there at least...

tonight it was frustrating because i really wanted to stay out later with yoshi but i also need to sleep in machida tonight, so i ended up having to leave at 12:30. sad parting...
