Well, I can think of little else besides the excrutiating (okay, so I'm exaggerating just a little) pain in my stomach area right now, but I haven't typed up an entry in a while. I'm sick of being lazy. Here goes.
The second Nine Inch Nails concert, back on Tuesday, was just as awesome as the first! I ended up just going with Ted and his roommate, Cliff. We never did find anyone for that fourth ticket. Oh well. I care not about money lost. The concert was worth it! And I dare say I've got concert fever!
Awww, I've got a kitty in my lap. :)
Anywho, Josh Homme's pretty funny. He's the lead singer of Queens of the Stone Age, who opened for NIN.
Somebody threw a shoe on-stage during a Queens song. They finished the song, of course, but when it was done, Josh picked up the shoe and brought it up to the microphone with him. He held it up, examined it, and said, "I'd hate to see the dork who wears this shoe." Then, in a mocking voice, he said, "Hey, guys, check it out! I'm gonna go to the concert in my Air Jordans!" and waved the shoe around as if it were walking. Then he said, "Thanks, I'm gonna keep this so I can piss in it backstage."
He's very preoccupied with sex too, which was also funny. At one point, he said, "We're all up here working hard to make sure that every one of you gets laid tonight." He then added, "Everybody, look to your left and have sex with that person." It was funny at first, but then I guess the joke was unintentionally directed at me because at my left was Ted. Anyone who's been reading all of my awful journal entries knows what I'm talking about. But then it was funny again because when Ted looked to his left, he saw Cliff. So, we all had a good laugh about that.
During NIN, Ted became very rowdy. He's a crazy dancer because he doesn't care what anyone else thinks. He was moving all around the whole time. (I think they're probably his second favorite band that's still around, Pearl Jam being his first.) In fact, he accidentally hit me a few times in the back of the head. That's how insane he was. His arms were flying everywhere.
NIN rocked my socks off. Twice. Two very rad concerts just a little over a month apart. w00t!
Work's blah lately. Nothing new there.
I joined
NaNoWriMo this year. I hope to meet the goal of 50,000 words in a month. Not sure what I'm writing about yet, but I still have time to decide. I've got ideas, but nothing that really strikes me as usable yet. Thanks for the shove,
_valencia_!
I'm tired. Good night.
