Personal record
As of right about now, I have been up for 38 and a half hours. (What say ye, clex_monkie89!) I have beat my old record of 34 hours. Go me! And I also think I'm hallucinating a bit. I keep seeing crawling things in my peripherals, but when I turn my head there's nothing there. But I swear I'm seeing spiders crawling on the wall or running across my desk. Not right this moment, but I've been seeing things like that here and there. Kinda creepy.
I really should be sleeping right now, but I'm not even tired. Almost fell asleep standing at work, but I'm good now. Well, I was half-standing, half-leaning, but still. I was up! And then I nearly fell because my knee suddenly buckled as I nodded off.
I am thisclose to finishing a fic. I should be working on it right now. Another sequel from long ago. I've been feeling inspired to finish old work rather than start any new work.
I guess I'm waiting until Chuck comes to visit. Not only will his visit be the most awesome thing ever and much fun had by all, but he's also bringing me the episodes of Prison Break that have aired so far. I've been watching the show, but I don't actually have it stored anywhere. Chuck's got them all, and once I've got them too, I'll be able to study Whistler more closely and hopefully feel comfortable enough with him to write him. I want to get him right. Presently, I'm too scared. He intimidates me. But I've got the fever. I will prevail!
I'm getting really excited about Chuck's trip. He's coming on December 8 and staying for a week. I can't wait!
I also get to see my Carmy again! She's coming in a week from today! I get to accompany her and some of her family wedding dress shopping. Carmen will be the prettiest bride ever. And I am so happy for her. The wedding isn't until October 18, 2008, but I can't wait! I love weddings. I don't agree with the high importance placed upon them, but I do love what they stand for, and I love the gathering of family and friends.
As for Turkey Day, I'll miss it for the third year in a row because I never have Thursdays off. :( I hope my family has fun. At least Mom is wonderful and brings me a plate of food for dinner at work, but I miss the gathering. Three years! Not to fear, I'm quitting Mobil come Spring. Just gotta tough it out during Winter. Stupid Winter.
