Dad bought a bag of Dove Promises a few days ago. They're little, individually wrapped chocolates, and the inside of each foil wrapper has something written on it. Things such as "Hey, why not?" or "Don't think about it so much," or "Temptation is nice, but giving in is more fun." Well, yesterday I unwrapped one that said "You know what? You look good in red." Funny thing is, I was wearing a red shirt at the time. I thanked it and taped it to my computer, along with "Go to your special place," which just cracks me up. Makes me think of Happy Gilmore. "Go to your happy place."
I mailed two packages today. I told the mail dude that they were both rubber duckies. He looked at me funny. They each only weighed a few ounces. In total they cost less than two dollars. Awesome.
I read something about a new movie called "The Tourist" in Entertainment Weekly. It's got Ewan McGregor and Hugh Jackman and sounded intriguing. Taken from the magazine article: "[...] the story of an everyday number cruncher (McGregor) who gets ushered into the underground world of New York sex clubs by a charismatic colleague (Jackman)." Hugh Jackman says he plays the bad guy. And the article goes on to say "Despite the story's seemingly lurid premise, don't expect some cheap boobs-and-babes movie." It's got a love story as well. There's a big picture of Ewan and Hugh in a club, and I love the sub-heading: "Wolverine and Obi-Wan walk into a bar... Inside Hugh Jackman and Ewan McGregor's provocative new thriller."
I'm always on the lookout for upcoming movies. When I see something interesting in a magazine, I rip out the page and tape it to my bedroom wall so I won't forget about it. I've got stuff on there about CD's and TV shows too. Oh, and one about a series of books recommended by Stephen King.
That being said, did you know there's an upcoming Hardy Boys movie (except it's called "The Hardy Men") starring Tom Cruise and Ben Stiller? How's that for odd? I wonder who will be Frank and who will be Joe. Hey, Nancy Drew should make an appearance! :D
