Oh, sweet Jesus

Hi, all! I've been writing. And playing video games, ashamedly. Not that that's really something to be ashamed of, I guess, but I've been playing A LOT lately. Probably too much. I bought Bully recently and I've been playing that like crazy. It's not what I expected, but it's fun. It's Grand Theft Auto-esque, but it's a lot different ( Read more... )

Yes, please! Maybe we should concentrate on something a little less complicated. Something with a good story, but not so much exhausting plot or tough settings or hard-to-come-by costumes. Like a good indie-esque flick. Something in which I can cry, perhaps? :) And I need to perfect my fake laugh and not make it sound so fake.

hmmm ... what if we all made up characters we wanted to play and then thought up a story line around them? that way, we would all be totally into the characters we were playing and they would interact in interesting ways.

Hey, that's not a bad idea! Hmm, there are two types I'd want to play. Either another badass like Chloe or a complete nerd who's horrible in social situations. I'm leaning more towards the nerd because it's got comedic potential and I've already done the villain before. Time to branch out. But I could go either way, whatever we don't have enough of once everyone else has their characters in mind.

Any thoughts about yourself?

Well ... if added a time-travel aspect, I could play the medieval character I've always wanted.

Or we could add a fantastical element and I could play an elf. Hey, they live forever, right? What if an elf lived in the modern day but pretended to be mortal? Immortal, wise, fair. I could pull that off. We could do flashbacks to the elder days and I could wear my garb! (might be a little like Highlander, but I'll take that risk - lol)

Hey, that sounds like a cool idea! You'd have all of this knowledge of things past, and everything would just think you're a history buff. In fact, maybe your character is a history professor. That could be your cover, your way of blending in and being "mortal." And somehow someone finds out who you truly are. Like, maybe you knew someone who is long dead and was related to the other character, and so the other character gets suspicious that you know all of these things about someone who died a looong time ago.

Although, there'd have to be some sort of conflict or problem/resolution aspect. What I've got is a bit boring so far. But the idea is neat. The idea of an ancient elf in modern day pretending to be mortal.

Yup, we'd have to think more on that.
