Easier than it looked

Hi.

I guess I had a few people concerned. I apologize for that. I'm fine. Well, I always have a lot of hate for myself, but we won't get into that. Otherwise, I'm fine. Let's just go with that.

I'm not entirely sure why, but whenever I'm away from LiveJournal - and the Internet in general - I find it hard to come back. I guess I feel a little like I'm living two different lives. It's kind of nice to let one go for a while and concentrate on just one of them, but then I feel bad because I do have friends in this other life, friends I like a lot and care about, and I have no idea what's happening in any of their lives right now. No idea whatsoever.

I haven't been here in a few weeks, and honestly it all started out as a survival thing. A few weeks ago we were having temperatures of 20 or 30 degrees below zero. I don't know the conversion to Celcius, but believe me, that's damn cold. For that whole period, I slept on the couch in the living room because the heat from our woodstove doesn't reach my room at all, and my room is where my computer is. Therefore, I didn't go online at all for a week. And then, after that, I just stopped going on because I was used to not being on. But here I am, finally.

I do have some exciting news. I got my driver's license! It was the best feeling I'd had in a long time. I feel so relieved. I haven't been driving a whole lot yet, but I've done a few things on my own. It feels great. Amanda, we can roadtrip someday now! We don't need to find a driver anymore. But beware, I'm not that great at it. I'm a very nervous driver.

Hmm, what else?

Have I started my PBFE entry yet? Nope. Do I know what I'm doing for it? Sort of. Will I start it tomorrow? Probably not. Will I start it someday soon? Hopefully.

Chuck sold me his PS2 for fifty bucks. That was so awesome of him because a new one is $129 at Wal-Mart. So, he sent it to me a week or two ago, and then I went out and bought American Idol Karaoke Revolution. So much fun! I may not have a nice singing voice, but luckily the computer judges don't know the difference. You can only be judged on pitch and tone and that sort of thing. My best songs ended up being songs I don't even like. You know that song "Breakaway"? I hate that song. I decided to sing it. I nailed it. Go figure. And on the flip side, I sang some songs that I love and totally butchered them. I love "Total Eclipse of the Heart." I sucked hard when I tried to imitate it.

I watched the boys' night of AI. I liked Paul Kim, but I hear he got voted off. I voted for him and Jared Cotter. Chris Sligh's pretty good too. I had high hopes for Sundance, but he let me down. I missed the girls' night, but I don't care because I hate most girl singers.

And that's why I was so surprised to find I liked the group The Like. ibejeska introduced them to me with a couple songs, and then I bought the CD. I've been listening to them non-stop. It's a group of three chicks. Jeska says they're valley girls.

It's been snowing all night. I had to drive home in it. By myself! Not fun. I drove so slow. Highway E was terrible. I was driving so slowly that I didn't have any problems, but to give you an idea of how slippery it was, in a stretch of only a mile or two, I saw two mailboxes in the road on E. TWO! I'd like to know if they were done by the same person or different people.

The latest Hayward rumors:

- Hardee's is going to either become a Culver's or a Walgreen's.
- KFC is becoming a combination KFC/Taco Bell.
- A Super Wal-Mart is going up behind the cinema.
- The regular Wal-Mart will become a Lowe's.

Like I said, they're only rumors. I hear a lot while working at Mobil.

Thank you, jules1013, for that very awesome surprise! One ninja rubber ducky coming right up!

Ciao, peoples.
