"The road must be trod, but it will be very hard. And neither strength nor wisdom will carry us far upon it. This quest may be attempted by the weak with as much hope as the strong. Yet such oft is the course of deeds that move the wheels of the world: small hands do them because they must, while the eyes of the great are elsewhere." - J.R.R. Tolkien, The Fellowship of the Ring

This journal is Friends Only, so please send me a message or leave a comment if you would like to be added. I suggest you read my profile page and a few of my posts before adding this journal to get a sense of who I am and what I write about.

how i use livejournal.

I decided to create this journal since I previously felt I was writing for a small, judgmental audience and not for myself. If you’re curious, the two previous journals I’ve had are screen_kiss and fadingxdream. As you can probably tell, I don't switch journals very often and only have created new ones when I went through significant changes in my life.

content.

Most of my entries are public. I am a very analytical person, so I tend to write a lot and pay attention to minute detail. I also ramble a lot. I must also warn you that I use my journal for catharsis regarding issues in my life, which usually contains satire and snark. If any of this makes you uncomfortable, simply don’t read my journal. I also post about what interests me, which mainly consists of music, art, body modification, religion, literature, and movies. I am strongly opinionated when it comes to certain topics, some of which are controversial, and my profile page lists where my stances are. Although I belong to some fandom-related communities, I do not make posts containing or regarding it. If I do in the future, they will only be visible to that custom friends group.

comments.

I may not comment on every post you make, but I still read every entry on my friends page. Likewise, I do not expect my friends to comment and will not remove anyone for not commenting.

appearance.

I use LiveJournal cuts in regard to my layout. I may or may not put an image behind a cut, so do not tell me to do so just because it may be too large to fit comfortably in the layout you’re using on your friends page. If an entry is extremely long or an image is larger than roughly 640 x 480 pixels, I will automatically put it behind a cut. There is also an HTML code you can add to your CSS that limits the size of pictures in your layout:

.entry img {
max-width:400px;
}

Simply change the number of pixels to however wide your layout content is.

Disclaimer: Some content may include vulgar language, artistic nudity, and opinions on controversial topics. I do no suggest reading this if you are close-minded, easily offended, at work, and/or under the age of eighteen. Any complaints about the content herein can be filed here.
