Merry Christmas!!!
Just wanting to wish everybody a most wonderful Christmas and Happy Holidays from Ontario!
It's been an interesting last 3-4 days. Had an ice-storm sweep through Saturday night, lost power on Sunday morning, but Santa came through and we got power back late last night *jumps up and down with joy!!!!* Didn't want to leave home, but have been rotating through various sympathetic friends for meals and water as my house rapidly cooled when using candles as heat just wasn't cutting it (where I am everybody's on wells, so no water either *sarcastic 'yippee'* ;p) Especially fun as the temps dropped to -14 C outside. It was like trying to live in a refrigerator.
So, Christmas... let's just say I wasn't having the most wonderful thoughts as the majority of my plans got wrecked, but it made me realize what great friends that i have and that that, and family, is the most important thing *hugs them all close*
Also, on the plus side, the ice on the trees is quite beautiful when glittering in the sunlight... but I'll still be very glad when it melts :)
Next year I'm asking Santa for a generator....
