Excellent episode, absolutely fantastic. Of course, I have a weakness for time line, "this is what happened, now you have to fix it" shows. Yes, Quantum Leap was one of my favorite shows as a child, what do you want from me?
But, I have to say this, that ending. Seriously? SERIOIUSLY? They take John 48,000 years into the future (with no food -- I love that that's the first thing Rodney asks when he's looking a little peakid. Behold the soldier's maxim: "Always take an opportunity to eat, sleep or pee; you never know when you're going to get another."), drag his ass through a sand storm, they get him back safely, and they end the episode with a building collapsing on the team's head? I repeat: seriously? WTF?
I mean, I know it's the season finale. I know that. But a BUILDING. On their HEADS? *sighs*
That aside, I loved Rodney asking, "So I know you've already been debriefed about the future and all that, but I just have to ask one more thing... Do I still have hair?" and John lying saying, "No. ... Let's go." *grins a mile wide* I love this show beyond the telling of it. Seriously. *grins*
