The weeklong back pain, immense pain that started yesterday afternoon, diarrhea, nausea, it's all not a mystery anymore. I have been suffering this week from the start of a bladder infection (like the third one in a few months).
Last night I went to the Dartmouth General (again) for the pain in my stomach, surrounding my belly button. I thought that perhaps since my belly button always seems to be infected, maybe it affected some organs in my stomach or something. The doctor quickly ruled that out, and said that the pain I was feeling was from (GET THIS) DIARRHEA!! He was just about to leave the curtained area when I spoke up and said, "Before my meds were regulated I suffered from diarrhea almost every day, and this is NOT DIARRHEA CRAMPS"!!
He thought for a moment, and said that he would re-examine the already examined urine sample I gave; to give it a closer look. Low and behold, there were 5-10 white cells detected indicating infection. BINGO!! Then things started to make sense, all the symptoms pointed right to the problem, it's just that one and one weren't adding up at first.
God knows what kind of pain I'd be in if I had been sent home without meds, it pisses me off to think about it. I have 7 days of antibiotics, and have to visit my doctor next week for some more tests.
*Sigh* This hurts, and that sucks.
