things that are good: my bed; midnight ramen-snacking; strawberry tea and early-morning tennis; napping; cannes's competing film line-up this year; my terribly outlandish
walking shoes (the soles are electric limegreen! what!); foster the people's torches album (synth-y!); toasted coconut museli with yogurt; gluttony.
things that are not so good: heavy-lifting before eight am; hoisting televisions that weigh (approx.) 800 pounds onto low shelving; carrying ladders; arranging boxes in neat and orderly piles; backwards reaching, mysterious bruising around the elbows; season three of heroes; umbrella stealers.
things i've just noticed: i've had this journal for four years (which means i've been on lj for like, six years. i want my life back!) and milan won the league (although my interest started to wane not too long ago and i'm really not even going to fight it. fair-weather fan, ahoy! off to disappointing arsenal because i'd rather not, apparently, have nice things. masochism, give it to me). interesting.
things i wish i had rather not noticed: just how much money i need in order to go abroad (twice, says this ambitious idiot). like, i understand that education and visas and housing require a certain amount of funding on my behalf, but that doesn't mean i have to like it, right? i am honing my budgeting skills like no one's business, though. also, my mosquito bites. because they itch.
and, finally, things that look nice: terrence malick's new film, the tree of life;
