*wipes forehead* just came back from a full-day shopping excursion out to saskatoon. let it be said that i do, in fact, know how to blow an entire paycheck in the span of a day. and keep my hair back with
this extremely cute bow from aa. and get my hands on EVEN MORE BOOKS that i don't need (psht). and pick up copies of
the limits of control (*shudder-sigh*) and
alphaville. oh, shopping.
now, while i was on the way home, i got to thinking: taking back sunday, that's clusterfuck of a situation, isn't it? an awesome and hilarious clusterfuck of a situation that i am oh, five months late on, but still. it's taken them eight years (!!!), but they've finally managed to return to their tayf line-up and oh my god, i can't wait for them to disappoint. because, really, the people who made 98%-of-tbs's-fairweather-fans's favourite album are now back to make another one. seriously? it's taken john nolan's misconstrued side projects (like, has anyone actually heard his solo album, height? no? just jesse lacey?) and losing two of tbs's most awesomest members (fred and Classic Matt) and
gun-bonding for this to happen? LONG ISLAND, WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO ME? I LOVE YOU, BUT I CAN'T TAKE ANY MORE SUPPRESSED HYSTERICAL LAUGHTER. you've reached such high levels of ridiculousness that you even have a WIKIPEDIA FLOW-CHART to keep track of all of your line-ups. observe:
AND TO ADD TO THAT, DOES THIS MEAN THAT THE LONG-AWAITED BRAND NEW/TBS TOUR WILL HAPPEN? WILL IT? WILL I VIRTUALLY PUSH AND SHOVE PEOPLE ON TICKETMASTER TO GET ADMISSION TO THAT SHOW? YES? YES. *deep breath*.
so, guess who's entering cbc's
literary awards? i'm back to writing original fiction and it feels fantastic. i've been stalled on the piece i'm submitting for entry for months and i've finally managed to complete it. oh, and make boring character and plot breakthroughs, too. plus, i'm figuring out how to really edit this style of writing. i'm thinking back on every "too vague" comment that's ever been written on one of my pieces. bottom line: i'm just super-excited to be writing my own characters again and be on my way towards a fully fleshed-out portfolio come class time.
