Thanksgiving weekend

Nov 29, 2003 22:23

Bill flew in from Chicago on Thursday morning. Dad was actually supposed to pick him up around 9:30, but Bill missed his flight because he missed the 45 cutoff by three minutes. That's a stupid rule. So his flight got in at noon and Dad, Mom, and I were all there to greet him.

We had Thanksgiving dinner around 1:40. On the menu was: turkey, dressing, mashed potatos, gravy, cranberry sauce, black olives, green olives, pickles, rudabega, lefsa, green bean casserole, pumpkin pie, cherry pie, and last but not least, sparkling grape cider. Needless to say, we were all stuffed after we ate. Later that night we watched Finding Nemo which I had brought from home.

Friday afternoon we all went bowling. We bowled two rounds. Dad won both of them, and Bill came in last both times. I got a score of seventy something the first time and came in third place, and the second round, I got a score of 90 and came in second. I even made a strike that round. Whoo hoo! Of course, my parents both made strikes before me. Bill was the only one who didn't make a strike, but he did make a couple of spares. He got so many gutter balls! He was trying to spin the ball or something, but it wasn't working for him. Well, he could spin it, but at the last minute it would swerve to the left or the right and go into the gutter. Later that evening, Mom, Bill and I went to see Elf. It was really crowded there. They both loved the movie and I still loved it the second time around.

Bill left for Kansas City early this morning and he'll be back in Lincoln tomorrow because his plane leaves early Monday morning. Mom and I helped Dad put up the Christmas lights and Mom was bickering at Dad. It was funny because across the street the neighbors were putting up lights and the woman was bickering at her husband and kid. We went to see Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World this afternoon. After dinner I left to go back to Omaha. I'm watching Crocodile Dundee in L.A. right now, LOL This week went by way too fast! :-(
