Merry Christmas, everyone!
Mom got a call from two of her sisters saying that Grandma was in the hospital and wasn't doing too well, so she drove up to Mason City on Friday and won't return until tomorrow. Grandma is feeling better, though she has been in and out of the hospital, it seems, for the past few years. Everytime she gets sick everyone thinks this is going to be her time to go the great beyond, but nope she's fine (for at least another few months or weeks).
Dad came to Omaha this afternoon and we saw Mission Impossible on the IMAX. It was pretty spectacular. I had never seen a feature length film on the IMAX before. And not only that but I also saw the preview for the re-release of Titanic in 3-D (which is also going to be released in IMAX - wheee!) The movie was insane - nonstop action! It was a fun ride. After that we went out to eat at a Chinese Buffet...not very good. The food was edible, but not great. I like Chinese food; I don't like buffets. Alas it was the only thing around that we could find that was open.
Yesterday was my last day working before my long hiatus (I get the next two weeks off - whoo!) Evelyn, one of the residents gave me three pairs of earrings and a snow globe with two cardinals in it.
I've now become obsessed with the Sims and Angry Birds!
