Wanna be startin' something
So I decided that after every AI show, I'm going to post my thoughts and comments about the performances. (If I feel like it, ha). Today was Michael Jackson night.
Lil - I liked it, though, The Way You Make Me Feel always reminds me of that stupid dance sequence in Center Stage with the motorcycle.
Scott - He sang some boring song I didn't know. I was bored.
Danny - I still have nightmares of Justin Guia-whatever his name is singing PYT during the first season, but he did a pretty good job with it and I give him props for not brining up his dead wife for sympathy votes. (Let's keep this trend up).
Michael - You are Not Alone always makes me roll my eyes when I hear it, but he sang it well.
Jasmine - She sang I'll Be There. Personally, I thought that Jackson Five songs shouldn't count and they should have just picked MJ as a solo artist songs. That said, nobody can sing that song better than Mariah Carey. Jasmine reminds me of a Barbie doll - very pretty, very plastic, and no personality.
Kris - Sang Rock With You Remember the Time (oops, hehe) with the guitar...he's much more interesting with the guitar. He reminds me of that guy in Camp that all the girls and gay guys were in love with.
Alison - Can't remember what she sang, but that girl sure has some pipes.
Anoop - I thought he was going to sing Billie Jean, but he sang Beat It. It was a bit karaoke, but I thought it was a little hyprocritical for the judges to say that he shouldn't touch a song since it belongs to MJ. Then, um, why are you having a show devoted to his music? That said, he probably should have picked a different song, though I know he's safe because he has a huge fan base.
Jorge - Sang another Jackson Five song. Boring.
Megan - Another Jackson Five song, Rockin' Robin. Simon was right, it was a stupid song choice. If Reese Witherspoon had a younger, cracked-out sister, it would be Megan.
Adam - I don't care what people think, I loved it, he's my favorite at the moment. Of course, Black or White is one of my favorite LJ songs, so that might have something to do with it.
Matt - He made me like a song I'm not familiar with (Human Nature). He still reminds me of Justin Timberlake - only not as good-looking.
Alexis - What the hell is Dirty Diana? I've never heard of that song. She was trying WAY too hard to be sexy/naughty/dirty and it just. wasn't. working.
