When I was home for Thansgiving, there was this article on the front page of the "living" section about a small college in Lincoln, Weslyan, that offers a class about Buffy the Vampire Slayer where they get to watch episodes, then discuss them. Hello, how cool is that? I was so jealous! They aptly named the article
Buffy 101 too. :-D The article said the most popular episodes for discussion were The Body, Once More With Feeling, the one where Buffy has that strange dream and meets the first slayer, and damn, I can't remember the last one. I wish I had kept that article. I think it was Passion.
So then at dinnertime I'm telling my family how cool that show is and my brother (who's the only other one who's watched it) says that season 3 is his favorite and he stopped watching after season 6 and was surprised when I told him that Anya was killed in the last season and The Body was well done, but (obviously) depressing. We both agreed that the Mayor was the best villian! Then we start discussing Buffy being killed in the last episode of season 5 to save her sister from Glory who's after the key...and my mom's like, "What? She died? And came back?" So I have to explain to her that since Buffy didn't die a natural death, then she could rise from the dead with the help of magic. Heh, my mom looked rather baffled by that!
But yeah, I'm totally jealous! I would have loved to take a Buffy class! It probably would have been filled up within the first few hours.
