The beauty of being alone
and being 21 and myself.
:-) Last night was amazing. I was totally going to spend the night in my room, sulking and pouting over the fact that I was mostly alone and had nothing to do. But yeah, I decided I'd make my own entertainment, and it went obscenely well.
At midnight, I got free cover into this amazing Latin club called Solero, which the owner himself walked me into... And I got my first free drink as a 21 year old. This continued at 4 other clubs, none of which I could stand for more than half an hour. But it was amazing how well I was treated just because it was my birthday.
I was worried I'd have a horrible night, filled with angst. I'm very very glad that I've come to realize the beauty of being alone. Last night would not have happened if I continued to think that the world requires couples and groups.
