Definitely not bored with the usa

It's been an epic couple of weeks! Andrew got sick at the end of South America, we had to go to the Tropical Diseases Clinic in Montreal to get it sorted out and it turns out he had "plesiosomething shiggellomania" or some such bacterial virus (similar to salmonella poisioning), luckily it wasn't malaria or something else and could be treated with anti-biotics! Thankfully he's fine.

We stayed in Toronto with his friend Patrice which was really nice, although quite cold, and then headed to Chicago, where I really loved all the architecture, the buildings are so cool! We watched blues in a blues club and jazz in a club called "the green mill" and ate deep dish pizza which is possibly the most filling thing I have ever eaten. The only bad bit was when I lost my glasses (no idea how) but I have new ones which are kind of greenish and slightly funky and perhaps don't really suit me but I like them so I suppose I'll get used to them.

We arrived in Charlotte to stay with Dustin last night and having a great time, some friends of his came over last night and we played "beer pong" which I am very bad at and someone gave me a bottle of Colt 45 which rotted my gut and I fear I disgraced myself after that :( I don't even remember going to bed. Apparently andrew helped me.

I realise I'm liking the usa a lot more than I thought I would. It's a lot of fun and the people are really nice, it's also really easy to get around so far and everything is so efficient! I got my new glasses in an hour!
