Temping is fabulous
I have spent a lot of time in the eastern suburbs this week. I have discovered the joyes of temping!! I registered with Eastside recruitment agency on tuesday, and I worked on Thursday and Friday. Why has no one told me about this wonderful way to earn money while one is between jobs? It kicks the dole's arse! I get to go to different places and do different but very easy things and they pay me!! And I have a typing speed of 69 wpm and a rating of 80% in 'advanced' word so apparently they want people like me to do mind numbing office tasks. And I am happy to oblige! Thursday I just stuffed envelopes the whole day but there were three other girls doing it and two were irish and they were all lovely so it was fun, and yesterday I went to this house in Bellevue Hill and typed for this girl who was just finishing her honours thesis but had stuffed up her hand. AND i get to earn money and even save a little more, instead of living off my savings that I am saving for use on the big exciting world trip.
I think what I hate about politics (in particular their international relations) is that it seems that it all comes down to "if you dont do what we want you to, we wont be your friend anymore". Like the uranium situation in India. As though that should ever be the reason why you do something evil.
