On Friday night Andrew and I went to the Different Drummer with Jo Packer and Mike and Jo's friend Tristan who is quite nice actually, and Andrew crawford came as well as did Dani. I had a litre of sangria to myself. (Barman asked me how many glasses I would like and was quite amused when I, slightly embarrased, said "Erm...just the one thanks.") Got a bit tipsy and started telling a story about how I saw two dogs doing a 69er. And we had a chicken tikka roll which was amazing - i can't believe I have never discovered these before!
And saturday morning was funny - all of us met up for breakfast at Guilia, and 3 of us forgot our homebake tickets and consequently had to go back and get them. Thankfully the furtherest we had to go was petersham. Homebake was wonderful. It was more relaxing than the other times... there was nothing I desperately wanted to see so I saw a bit of everything, realising that I had seen most of this before anyway. I loved The Presets and I loved The Finn Brothers - there was something very surreal about watching them sing Don't Dream it's Over... they're so OLD! And decoder ring were a bit flat but I've seen them before and loved them and architecture in helsinki were a bit all over the place but wolf and cub were pretty good and PNAU were amazing!!
Yesterday just lazed around and watched FINALLY the doris day movie "By the light of the silvery moon..." i have always heard the song and now i have seen the movie and it was so beautiful...they don't make sweet innocent movies like that anymore. Andrew and I made bolognaise and tasted this wonderful king island blue cheese that looked like pumkin and had a great mild flavour and watched "My favourite film" on the abc which was amusing - Im a bit surprised Lord of the Rings topped the list but oh well... there were some ones that I hadn't seen yet: bladerunner, donnie darko, the princess bride...but I agreed with the inclusion of Pulp Fiction and Star Wars and Gone with the Wind. If I had to pick just one movie as my favourite it would be SO hard. I'd have to pick one from every genre maybe.
I'm reading 'do you remember the first time?" by jenny colgan just for fun. It is fun :)
