Wow, it has been forever since I have posted in here.

Life has been really great to me lately. I honestly have very little to share. I wake up every day to sunshine and 70 degree weather. It rained for fifteen minutes the other day and you might have thought the world was ending. Other than that, I can't understand why after a little over a month here why ANYONE would not want to live here, just based on the weather. Not to mention within two hours you can be skiing in the mountains at Tahoe, in twenty five minutes on the beach in Santa Cruz, or fourty five minutes in San Francisco. Six hours to the south=LA, two hours northeast=sacramento. One hour away from Wine Country Napa, and the list just goes on and on...

My boss brought me a "welcome kit for Nor Cal" to work with a nice card and huge bag of gummy bears today. It was so sweet, complete with the complete guidebook to weekend adventures in San Francisco and the entire wine guide for all of the wineries with complete ratings, etc. We also found out in the book that San Jose is actually the tenth largest and populated city in the entire United States and third largest in California after LA and San Diego. The population, almost one million within the city limits, is larger than San Francisco and it is one of the most diverse cities in the entire country with one of the largest Asian populations in the entire country. Go figure that all 24 major computer companies, including Apple, plus most major online companies (Ebay, Google) are also based right here. Lots of computers=Lots of asians. Speaking of my new boss...

My new job has proven to be more rewarding than I originally was mentally prepared for. I love most of the people I work with, and I really feel like I am using my leadership skills in a more proactive way. Instead of really DOING any work, I am managing others and processes as they work. The company is so large that a computer can do most of the office work (scheduling, payroll management) for me, so I really get to interact with my employees and make sure that they love coming to work every day. Sure, it is retail so the hours are pretty terrible and being in the backyard of the corporate headquarters means your store is visit ready every minute of every day. Pop ins by the buyers, vice presidents, regionals, allocators, etc is becoming so regular. That ball in my stomach is starting to dissolve slowly and I think I really might end up loving this job and see a fruitful future with them if life turns out that way.

Married life is fine. Just like my friend Tastee, it is what it is. There is no other way to describe it. I love it, It is life.
