(no subject)
well, i am in berkeley!
i have a lovely house with so far great housemates. my room is bright blue and the house is nice and big with cool colors in most of the rooms... free laundry, a garden, trees outside my window, a yellow breakfast nook, a nice big kitchen with old fashioned gas stove, and wireless internet. i love it. we live on a delightful tree lined street, just one block from Andronicos gourmet grocery store and the elephant pharmacy... and only 5 blocks from the gtu campus where i will be taking most of my classes. the public transport here is easy and everywhere, so it is great to be able to walk or take public transport everywhere.
the weather is so great for january. 50s and 60s during the day, sunny and cool... i didn't even need a coat in the afternoon!
it is awesome to be near my sister... she has been trucking me around everywhere running here and there for little and big things.
also, i might already have a job... at a place called cafe fanny, a tiny but busy little coffee shop/breakfast/lunch place - owned by alice waters, owner of chez panisse.
i don't yet have a bed, but we are working on that one.
i should run and get a few more things done today...
