Got around to seeing 'Ratatouille', and loved it. Wonderful designs and animation. Pixar is really pushing the lighting and environments, like the Miyazaki-esque clutter of the country cottage. Character animation was mesmerizing, especially the Ego guy. The story had some unexpected turns, and probably would've ended about halfway if it was a Disney flick.
Between that and seeing 'Taxi Driver' I got inspired to re-write the next Roza chapter. I pared down the dialogue a lot, and tried to push the visuals. I think I was getting stuck since I didn't know the characters that well, and was putting them into situations they wouldn't get into in the first place. Yesterday was gray and stormy, so I just sat and typed and thought Roza thoughts. The story's all fixed now, and I can start turning it into a comic page script :D

Also, I joined up with some GA buddies to contribute to
a food blog. Finally, a way to get all these recipes outta my system! It's all about eating well and eating cheap, so it's definitely practical advice. Cooking your own meals is good for the spirit, body, and wallet!
