Get that bone back in action
Dr. Anderson just called to inform me that I have been selected for the UNC Jazz Band and a Jazz Combo. Wow, I'm very surprised. Getting a spot as a freshmen is hard to do. He's doing me a favor; maybe I convinced him that I have potential and the necessary ambition, or maybe he's thinking about the band's future after curent seniors graduate (or maybe I'm just super legit). For whatever reason, I'm now 4th chair (the lowest chair for tenor trombones). That means I'll be able to rebuild my chops, get the pride-fueled competition back in me, and then think about upward movement. Dig that.
