I think an important distinction to be made is between 'pro-choice' and 'pro-abortion.' I think abortions themselves are terrible, honestly.
The reason why I am firmly pro-choice is largely because I am male. I do not understand the complexity of birth, labor, pregnancy, rape, etc. So, I do not want to (as a male) tell women what to do or not do with their bodies. Also, I feel like it would be unconstitutional to do so, although that point is less important.
If you are a female who is against abortion, I will not try to persuade you. Whether your reasons are religious or otherwise, I think females should have this debate all to themselves - I have no place in it.
For as long as some females feel the need to have abortions available to them, I will not tell them no.
Peace.
