(no subject)
I started knitting. Im making a scarf, which is what people usually make when they dont know how to make anything. its a lot slower than crocheting (which Ive known how to do since I was 8 and have made many blankets), and the flaws are more apparent. I have a hole where I missed a stitch, but I guess thats part of the character.
Mitch moves to boston on thursday. I hate long distance relationships. Im hoping I can get a post-doc position near Boston in 2 years, when I graduate... if not, new england is a big, happenin place. My poor car will rack up the miles, 2 1/2 hours each way to Brandeis University. plus tolls.
We saw Guster on thursday, and Ray Lamontagne opened for them. We got 5th row in a 30,000+ person ampitheatre, because we bought our tickets the night before, and these were the only ones left. I only know one Guster cd (Goldfly) and they only played 2 songs from it. But they were great. I thought Ray Lamontagne was better though. My favorite song of his was called "How come". Mitch bought his cd.
I have a new roommate because since Mitch is moving out, I cant afford my 2 bedroom, heat-included, safe-neighborhood apartment all alone. Her name is Amanda and shes a new physics grad student from Maryland. Theres an overlap this past week where Mitch, me and Amanda are living here. Its tight. And strange.
