elated

This past weekend has been amazing. Heck, this past month has been amazing.

Things have been just falling into place lately, like never before. I thought I was going to bomb all of my midterms, because I honestly didn't care... but I haven't gotten lower than a 90 on any of them. So, school is going well. The whole RA thing is going really well too. I've been able to bond with a handful of awesome residents. It's nice to have people who look up to you, and who consider you someone that they'd go to if they were in a tough situation.

On Friday night, Brianna, Matt, and I drove to Alton Jones for the Newman Club retreat with about 20 amazing people. The retreat went into Saturday, which turned out to be a beautiful day, despite the forecast of rain and snow. I don't think I've ever become closer with a group of people over such a short period of time. We spent less than 24 hours together, but by the end, it was as if everyone was best buddies. The amount of trust and love within the group was just unbelievable. It's nice to get away from it all for a night, and by being with a group of people who share your faith, it just makes it all the more significant and enjoyable. Seeing God within those people make my faith in Him even stronger. How can I not believe when everyone around me is so supportive and devoted? It's an amazing feeling.

The retreat ended at around 4pm, and so Matt and I headed back to my house in Coventry. He got to meet my family, along with Meggers and my Uncle Skip and Auntie Jackie. I had a fantastic time seeing everyone. You don't realize how important and wonderful your family is until you spend time with them after being absent from them for a while. I'm hoping Matt had a great time... I'm pretty sure he did. My mom loves him to death, and so does my sister. He's such a great friend, and I hope he decides to go to the Vanasse family October Party next weekend. I'm looking forward to that party so much, because I'll get to see ALL of my aunts and uncles, along with my cousins, and the infamous Memere and Pepere. I miss them all so much.

Today is just going to be a lazy day. A little bit of homework, a lot a bit of laundry, purchasing "Breakfast at Midnight" supplies, church at 8pm, maybe a brief nap.

... I just can't get over how amazing my life is right now. And I can't pin-point it to anything... something has just changed within me, and it's so fantastic and indescribable...

:-D
