Watched The Sorcerer's Apprentice and Despicable Me yesterday.
The Sorcerer's Apprentice was awful; plot was super choppy and cliched, and characters were incredibly forgettable. Also, the use of magic was quite unimaginative for the most part. I mean, it was creative AT FIRST, but then it just degenerated into lightning bolt blasts DBZ styled. Seriously, the main character even pulls a KAME-HAME-HAAAAA against the villain at the end. Also, for 1000 year old sorcerers, they sure like fighting with CARS of all things! I kept on waiting for one of the guys to turn their car into a dragon or whatever and fly off into the sky to get out of the traffic, BUT NO, they just went and changed it into ANOTHER CAR INSTEAD and kept on weaving in and out of traffic. D8< Fucking lame and uncreative sorcerers!!!
Despicable Me was much better, albeit the strange plot and too rapid character development.
