new adventures on the horizon
oh yay! Found out yesterday that the doctor I work for is retiring and I'm going to be out of a job! All thes rumors go around this damn office and since I'm not in "the thick of things" and in the back of the office doing a solitary job, I never found out...until yesterday. What did I do? Immediately panic! I called Ed and he told me to look at the school district...so I did. There is a "clerk to the Facilities Director" ... Ed called and its' $3 less an hour, but has better insurance and is 5 minutes from home (this will save a lot on gas, so maybe taking the pay cut won't harm the budget too much).
Medical transcription is going the way of the dinosaur. I have no other skills. I don't know Excel or Windows anything other than 2000....thank God for YouTube.
The school district gives raises...I haven't had a raise in $7.
I wonder when the official announcement will be made?
I know I shouldn't put all my eggs in one basket, but I'm hoping that I will get this job and leave ASAP.
