Saturday morning thoughts

Had a crummy week at work, getting behind again, so hopefully can get my butt in gear and put in some hours (comp time) to get some of the work done in peace and quiet. Dr. Travelinpants just can't write result letters for the average joe. He uses medical terms that I'm sure the older patients have no clue...I sometimes wonder if they need their dictionaries to understand what the hell he is talking about.

Doug and Char are camping for their anniversary and Kristina is *supervising* Kelsie, but tonight she wanted to go see Chris, so Kelsie is coming here. She's not too happy about it...she loves being at home and she's 14, so I'm sure going to Aunt Dianne's isn't as fun as it used to be.

I'm so frickin' tired. Didn't sleep well at all, so I'll probably take a nap before going off to see Val. I also need to stop at the Hallmark store for a b'day card for my seester Sharon and a Webkinz for my friend Pam's little girl.

A co-worker from the hospital where I worked for 16 years and left about 6 years ago passed away last night after being diagnosed about one month ago with small cell lung cancer that had spread all over. So very sad. She came to work in July for us to help me out when I was bogged down and now she's gone. Life is fragile, isn't it?

I sure have enjoyed the fall weather. Ed is working today, so no drives for us, but I would like to throw caution to the wind and just go look at fall colors. Speaking about my husband, he had his CT scan done yesterday and there was no involvement of his lymph nodes and his prostate wasn't enlarged....so that is good news. Consult appointment is scheduled for 10/22 at 8 a.m. He's leaning toward surgery. It has a 98% cure rate while the radiation implant seeds has a 75% cure rate. Two of my docs have said if it were them, they'd have it taken out. So we'll see. It's the waiting that is so darn hard.

Ok...I'm sooooo sleepy..Off to take a 2 hour nap!

Have a great weekend!
