Should I upgrade to something beyond Ubuntu 8.04 (Hardy Heron)? My office-mate has acted as my guinea pig and confirmed that the new run-time libraries that come with Intrepid will break some software I have installed for the purposes of doing SCIENCE, but I think he's figured out how to get the installation to work with the new libraries. I'm told I'd get some new Python toys for my trouble. Worth it, or no?
Also, can I have a pony?
