Day shift, deaths at work and other such misery.

So here's the deal. work is slow. very slow. painfully slow. In rentals we've had four machines come back from rent in the last three weeks. Three came in today. The result is managment has shipped off seven guys to the corners of the earth (Ft MacMurray, Tumbler Ridge) and abolished afternoon shift. EVERYONE get to do straight days.... and start work at seven in the morning. This blows. I've been on nights for the last five months... this is taking some adjustment. That's my whine and bitch for now.

The one that affects the rest of the world is this: Anyone keeping an eye on the newpaper lately? Me neither. If you have then you've probably seen the story about the plane that went down on sunday on Thornbey Island. Guess what one of the guys killed was hired the day before I was. He was out on temporary transfer due to the work shortages here. Tom Orgar, age 29, journeyman HD mechanic, Finning employee, Left Brant Tractor June 2008, married, no kids. Good egg. RIP
