Sleep is not for me. Nor is the PS3.

Last night lady-curmudgeon and I went to the store to get some supplies so we could bake up a batch of the 'mudgeon's delicious chocolate chip cookie bars. While I was in the pharmacy getting a new bottle of Naproxen for my poor, poor wrists (Carpal Tunnel Syndrome is a bitch, my friends) I also acted on the advice of a friend and picked up some ValerianRead more... )

I lost my last shred of attraction for the PS3 with the announcement that the PS3s released in Europe won't have hardware-supported backwards compatibility, just software emulation.

And they're still going to charge me more than they charged the American buyers. The fact that this announcement came after the non-refundable preorders were placed? Just makes everything worse.

I'll get a PS3 when they give me one for like $200 or so. Maybe. If they bother making games that are more than just "look at the pretty graphics".

Yup... the video just reiterated the same things I've been thinking all along:

- MS only cares about online games which I don't find to be fun. That's OK; they're a business, not beholden to me. They don't get my money, though.
- Sony has no idea what they're doing and who they're trying to sell to. They clearly forgot about the lessons they should've learned in 1994, when Sega did the same thing and Sony became the leader. Their console costs too much as a console, but is a cheap Blu-Ray player. Too bad absolutely nothing I want is on Blu-Ray, so no need!

While waiting for Nintendo to decide when to ship the Wii, I have a few old platforms I can still get games for. Games which I may actually enjoy without breaking the bank.

Valerian gives many people weird dreams. Ask me about that later because it's just too weird to type out. But good idea getting the capsules and not the liquid, as the liquid is VERY stinky.

What form are the valerian pills in, chalky tablety things, or capsules filled with the dried herb? Ra might at least be able to get some use out of the stuff, as cats seem to love it. I've read that it affects them in the same way that catnip does, but then again it might just be that they're attracted to anything that smells like ass.
