The 'rents and step-sister are back. One of the first things out of my mom's mouth were "you look upset is everything ok?"
I suppose it wouldn't have been polite to tell her that while they were away it was quiet, peaceful, and everything good and right in the world, and that it all went away with their return. So instead I just shrugged and said it was a long day.
