Mock the Week :: Drabbles :: Rated G-R

A trio of drabbles I've written for mtw_100 that I thought I'd share here for people who aren't members there.

Title: Baited
Chapter: 1/1
Fandom: Mock the Week
Pairings: Frankie Boyle/Andy Parsons
Rating: R for language
Summary: Frankie likes to toy with Andy's emotions
Disclaimer: This fic is in no way intended to portray a true representation of the people involved. As far as I know, this never happened.
Notes: Written for the prompt "Control".

Andy glares at Frankie across the studio. Throughout filming, the Scot has been flirting outrageously with Hugh. Not just in his usual, jokey manner, either. There’s an intent behind his actions, apparent in the meaningful looks he shoots at Andy.

Eyes meet from opposite desks. Frankie raises an eyebrow, challenging Andy to say something; do something; react in some way.

Andy continues to glare.

Frankie’s hand is resting on Hugh’s now, eyes still challenging. Awaiting the reaction they both know is coming. Sure enough, as filming breaks, Andy pulls Frankie aside.

“What the fuck are you playing at?”

Frankie shakes his head. “Jealousy, jealousy. I thought you had that under control?”

“Bastard.” Andy storms off, though he knows he won’t stay angry for long. He never can, even when Frankie baits him.

Frankie knows it too, knows it as he watches Andy leave. He saunters back to his position on set, ignoring the confused looks from Hugh. He doesn’t need to flirt anymore.

Not today, anyway.

Title: Decision Time
Chapter: 1/1
Fandom: Mock the Week
Pairings: Russell Howard/Lucy Porter, Lucy Porter/Jo Caulfield
Rating: G
Summary: Russell knows what Lucy really wants for Valentine's Day.
Disclaimer: This fic is in no way intended to portray a true representation of the people involved. As far as I know, this never happened.
Notes: Written for the prompt "Valentines"

Russell sighed as he watched his girlfriend. Since they’d arrived at Frankie’s Valentine party, he’d barely seen Lucy. Not that he blamed her - it was a party, they were supposed to mingle and have fun. But watching her now, he was beginning to get suspicious.

It was there in her body language, flirtatious gestures that meant a little more than she pretended. An adoring look that Russell didn’t remember ever seeing directed at him. Watching now, he knew what it was he had to do.

He walked over, taking Lucy’s hand and placing it in Jo’s. “Happy Valentine’s, babe.”

Title: Within the Den
Chapter: 1/1
Fandom: Mock the Week/Dragon's Den
Pairings: Frankie Boyle/Duncan Bannatyne
Rating: G
Summary: Frankie on Dragon's Den? Surely not.
Disclaimer: This fic is in no way intended to portray a true representation of the people involved. As far as I know, this never happened.
Notes: Written for the prompt "Secrets"

“I’ll do it. ”

The other four Dragons exchanged stunned looks as Duncan Bannatyne addressed the tall, awkward Scot stood before them. The pitch had been mediocre at best, the product was ridiculous, and yet here Duncan was picking up the pitch without even negotiating a better deal. It was practically unheard of.

As the successful bidder left, Peter Jones turned to Duncan. “Have you completely lost your mind?”

Duncan simply smiled, not saying a word.

Later, he and Frankie would sit together, drinking scotch and marvelling over how the others had failed to notice they’d been on a wind-up.
