First things first.
Happy new year!
OK, I'm a few days late with this, but this is the first opportunity I've had to be online long enough to make an LJ post.
Thanks to having bought *blushes* an iPhone I've been able to check in now and again while I've been away, but coverage has been patchy and I've been spending my time drinking and sleeping mainly. Therefore, I'm relying on you to let me know - what did I miss? If you posted fic or art or a rec post or a picspam of your cat or simply the word "WHORES" over and over again, I want to know about it.
And on that note, HOW ARE YOU ALL? Was Christmas wonderful? Did Santa leave you an orange and a stash of chocolate coins and gay porn, or just a lump of coal? And how did you see in the new decade? I must know!
All that aside, there is a point to this post:

Thank you so much to matt_writer, semielliptical and forest_rose for the amazing cards. Such incredibly nice and heartfelt things were written in them - I don't know what to say except thank you. ♥
Also thank you to rhaegal for the immensely awesome Merlin and Arthur card! I yelped in delight when I opened it. I'm so glad we met and made friends in 2009, and I look forward to moar slashy squeeing with you in 2010. ♥
Thank you too to my delicious mushroom18 for the epic and most beautiful Ginny/Tonks fanart (scroll down to see it; post is NSFW). It features my very favourite ladies enjoying some festive femmeslash... while Harry perves on them through the Floo. XD XD XD Mush, you make me laugh so much - never change. ♥
(Oh fuck, it just hit me, I hope this post isn't too much like an Oscar acceptance speech. I promise not to start crying dry tears over how awesome I am.)
I also received two amazing parcels, from aldehyde and o_deanna. These were both so epic that I cried tears of joy.
From aldehyde I received a nun bowling kit (I LOL'd IRL), a magical Christmas tree, a polaroid snap, a lovely letter, this potential tattoo design (which I adore):
... and best of all, the most adorable little bear ever. I struggled with what to call him for approximately three seconds before I realised that of course his name is Samdean. XD
And here he is, joining me in a seaside Christmas morning cappucino. :D

The gift I received from o_deanna was also epic. It came to my folks' house, so I ended up opening it properly on Christmas day, ripping off the brown paper like a small child on... well, on Christmas day. XD Inside I found a graphic novel about Johnny Cash (srsly, was this one written specifically for me or what?), a brilliant card with gentleman animals on it and a wonderful letter inside, a load of sweeties, and best best best - Prince Arthur Penmouse!
♥_♥ LOOK AT HIS LITTLE TAIL. LOOK AT HIS LITTLE EARS. LOOK AT HIS LITTLE TUFT OF BLOND HAIR. He is so so gorgeous. And he is handknitted! *swoons* I love him so much. I have no words, seriously. ♥
