PRINCESS LEIA: Luke, tell me. What's troubling you?
LUKE: Vader is here, now, on this moon.
PRINCESS LEIA: How do you know?
LUKE: I felt his presence. He's come for me. He can feel when I'm near. That's why I have to go. As long as I stay, I'm endangering the group and our mission here. I have to face him ( Read more... )

I did consult my GP, but I am still experiencing some listlessness.

The DVD is so good, and the extra features are actually NOT crap! LAY is clearly the single most underrated show in the history of time, but I sort of like it that way. ..."Dirty bird."

Aaahhh we totally need the STFU charm to be canon. Mainly for Harry and Hermione I guess. Ron gets let off on account of being anti-camping and also the brains behind it all (although you convince me that Neville might be better suited). As well as canon I'd like it to be able to be used by Muggles during the making of HP:DH PART DEUX (!) - how horrific and painful will Emma Watson "acting" being tortured by everyone's favourite crazy bitch be?! Very. Especially because he acting talent stores (eyebrows) will be rendered useless when God becomes merciful.

In relation to your doubt, STFU *shazam* (in the kindest way possible)! Your version of DH totally wins over JKR's, I mean, I really liked the book when I first read it, and you have an amazing way of making me see how ridiculous and stupid and boring so much of it is, without...I don't know, completely destorying my faith in mankind? Now if that doesn't make you worthy of assassination, I don't know what does. ...All that was meant to be a compliment...a heavily disguised one I'll admit.

...I can't believe I spent that long explaining how your assassination would be justified. Must be the side-effects of the Scary Picture...

OK, so your justification of my future assassination is either extremely flattering or extremely terrifying. ;)

I wish the STFU charm was canon. I'd also like to see the GTFO charm, the RTFM charm, and most of all the Ghettofabulus charm.

you have an amazing way of making me see how ridiculous and stupid and boring so much of it is

Oh, but that makes me feel bad! I only ever meant to rant about things - I'm not on an anti-JKR crusade or anything. (I'm going to do HBP next, but I'm not sure if I want to go near PoA, because it's my favourite and I don't want to ruin it, you know?) I do still like Harry Potter and JKR, even after all this - in fact, to prove it, I will soon be changing my name to Synthesiser Patel Deathly Hallows Festiva. :D

Most things that I say are both flattering and terrifying. Ho hum.

I think I'd put money on Seamus first bringing us the Ghettofabulous charm.

And don't feel bad! I'm saying it WORKS, because a lot of it IS ridiculous, but the whole brilliant thing is that you don't make me hate it, I can still enjoy the ACTUAL story as well.

LOL Synthesiser Patel! Yes I did consider Computer Selwyn as a new name -- I love that episode, I actually sent off for a prospectus for Bournemouth uni on account of Bournemouth the computer -- but I suppose something-Harry-Potter-y (pottery?!) Selwyn works rather well..."Your wand" would be an excellent first name.

And to finish, a Birds of Britain stroke of genius: "Here's a pair of tits." ...I love it, it's so deadpan that people are commenting on the clip on YouTube saying "Actually that's a chaffinch, it's all wrong." (I may be paraphrasing here).

PS. Please do do HBP, I only bothered reading that one once and occasionally had an angry rant at movie!Lavender.

"Your wand" strikes me as the wizarding equivalent of "Your mum".

I agree, the comments on Birds of Britain bring the lulz. I forget which LAY clip it was on, but there was one that was all "ZOMG BRITISH PEOPLE ARE SO STUPID", getting really furious over all the fake science. It was pretty dumb.

I am totally going to do HBP (once the next couple of months are done with, since they are going to be manic). I think it'll be quite different to doing this one, because I read and re-read DH before I started the uberwank, and ultimately I do like the book, and I've only read HBP once and hated it (but I might find I like it this time around - I think the experience was really tainted by Remus/Tonks).

LOL "Your wand"! xD

I love LAY because if you haven't watched it pretty religiously, it is still very WTF. I made a card for a fellow LAY fan for her birthday and inside it had the Scary Picture under a flap that had all the health warnings on, and we passed it around and it was surprising how many people looked genuinely quite frightened. ...I may have to scan that card, I maintain that it was and will be the greatest thing I have ever done with my life.

I look forward to your HBP, same here, it was just a bit shite - and I reckon everyone thought so because it's the one people know least. Still, I'm thinking there'll be plenty of ammo for some Tonks-bashing.
