We're in
So I thought I had better come over here and do a post about how I'm alive and sorry I haven't said anything to anyone in like two weeks or something - then I remembered it's only been three days since I was last online. It just seems like two weeks because those three days were massive.
We're in, though, and the move is over! Except for the bit where our former landlady tries to take our money because there's some dust on a shelf or something. Or because the cooker is caked in grease and the window frames are rotten, but those things were like that when we moved in, so there.
Uh, yeah. So the move took longer than we anticipated. We hired a van, assuming it would take one trip to move all our shit, and in fact it took two van runs and six car runs. Of course this also meant lots of heavy lifting up and down staircases. I haven't done that much exercise since... well, ever.
It's all good. The new flat is way nicer than the old one. OK, so in the first 24 hours living there we saw a) a dog doing a poo; b) two dogs frantically humping; c) two dogs having a fight, but, as the Underlord's sister pointed out, where we've been living we regularly had to watch people doing those things, so this is really a step up.
I will post something more coherent when I am less tired.
