Here and Now
Gah, wasn't it just November? Although, I guess that at my lj, it really was. *sheepish*
I know I've got a lot of nerve showing up here after almost a year, so thank you so much for not kicking me to the curb. Erm, but no worries, of course, if this serves as a reminder that you meant to click that button a long time ago :)
So the rest of this post is separated into four parts -- it feels weird to have an even number, but I'm not going to force it:
1. Working
Work has been very rewarding, on several levels. Sadly, I'm not making the most of the opportunities open to me, but I'm working on it. Work has also been very busy. But we're all busy at work, right? And yet you raise your kids, and visit your parents, and reach out to your friends, and do your laundry... I'm working on these things, too. Well, the last three. To that end --
2. Writing
I joined wrisomifu. (Thanks for pimping, sp23!) The gist is to write something -- anything -- for 10 minutes a day. My goals are to write replies to posts, tweets, and email. And to perhaps write the occasional postcard. And also --
3. Fanning
-- to write fic. No, really.
If you've got bigboobedcanuck on flist, you've heard about the As the World Turns OTP that ate her brain. Well, it consumed me, too, and I've signed up for noah_who: Douchefest 2010 -- the fic challenge that BBC (& Friends) created. I've actually already written a fic and am nursing two WIPs and many plot bunnies. I haven't written anything since Buffy -- half a dozen years and fandom obsessions ago. Go figure.
And on a completely unrelated note --
