One of my coworkers recently was in an accident and her own insurance wasn't complying with the law, and the police weren't being helpful at all, doing just the minimum they could get away with, and she was totally panicking until she got a lawyer, I don't think the payout was very big but it was still free for her. Another coworker got a lawyer willing to work for free just to fight a false speeding ticket, since those radars are notoriously inaccurate, it is easy to fight them if you have help. There are so many lawyers out there today, I think it's not that hard to get one. It's possible there are more ambulance chasers than average in Nevada though ;) But your situation is such that it should attract an ambulance chaser, unlike my sister's divorce (poor girl is paying a ton to her lawyer to get this divorce through).

A layover in Japan could be super awesome too, ne? :D Some airports have lockers you can stuff your bags in, so that may be a possibility. Some hotels let you stash your stuff with them even if you can't check in for a few more hours, also, just for future reference.

I'm hoping I can buy a new camera at the last minute actually, I guess we'll see how my next two paychecks stretch out, but I will at least bring Kevin's camera along.

By 'booking', I mean 'to reserve and pay for'.
