Paranoia under the cut if I manage to remember how to do an LJ cut:
Is is me or is the timing of this sudden LJ-purge right after fanlib crashed and burned spectacularly an implausible 'coincidence'?
This one.

...especially when one considers the amount of money behind fanlib and its obvious lack of professionalism, along with the weirdness of anonymous group behind this purge and its lack of professionalism (because it is indeed very likely to make the job of real law enforcement more difficult online)?
Just wondering... This is probably a stupid attack of paranoia, only understandable after all the public attention being drawn to fanfiction lately.
ETA 2: Being the timid violet that you all know and love and in spite of being overwhelmed with work today, I did post a frank opinion in the LJ news community because I am still hoping LiveJournal will issue a statement or possibly retract their indiscriminate actions, as Digg recently did on the CRM/HD key cracking issue. And also here.
ETA 3: Finally, after an 'apology' has been officially issued, check out an excellent summary of the current situation here.
