Nothing can possibly compare to what he's feeling right now. England continue to stare at the unconscious boy. It's wrong. His mind tell him. He can't fall in love to someone that's already dead, can he? He's only a ghost. A ghost that come back to the world of living. It's supposed to be impossible. There's nothing he can do to save a ghost. A ghost that of a nation that already died decades ago especially.
He supposed time passed. But it's not like he cares anyway. He tried. Tried everything, but the other just become more and more transparent as times go. His feeling want to surface. The feeling that he suppress so long... Everybody thought he love America, but he's not. Their relationship already wither the day America wishes him to go out from his life.
More time passed, and the na--ghost (he would convince himself) become paler and more transparent. He can't do anything except accepting what is happening. Of course, it's until the other awakens...

When the other awake, he's already almost gone. C-Can you let me meet him for the last time...?
That words break him, and he knew that he can't bring the other to Italy as fast as the other's body disappear. "I'm sorry. I can't do anything." After that words, the other is silent, as silent as the night.

When the other finally disappear did he allow himself to cry. Tears fall and he knew that he lost his chance, but he knew as well that that feeling will never be returned. This is the last time he will let his heart fall for someone. There's nothing more hollow than the feeling that your heart breaks. Breaking into dust.
