For all you fabric lovers
I'm curious and considering adding to my SCA wardrobe. Currently my persona is Norse, specifically from what is present day Finland. So these are my questions...
What weaves of modern commonly available fabrics would be fitting for this sort of persona?
What colors are to be avoided? (ie only available through modern dyes) Or is it a shorter list to ask for what colors were available?
Where is the best place to acquire said fabrics for cheap?
Thanks for all your help. No, these garments will not be appearing at 12th Night, but I'd expect to see them at assorted events as they are completed. The hope is to move from quilters cotton to linen before Pensic.
