THE MCQUADE BROTHERS!
So I was very resistant to the idea of going to see the 21 Jump Street movie, but I'm glad I did. I thought it would be like Starsky and Hutch (which I still haven't seen), where they reboot the story and recast the same characters. But instead, they acknowledged that the program had existed in the 80s and they were renewing it, so that was fine as it kept old canon valid and intact. The new touches were cute. Korean Jesus was so hilarious! New McQuade brothers! And their meta jokes were funny, but I can't believe those actors could fool anyone into thinking they were in high school. (The actual high school girl looked pretty old, too.) Also, is high school really like that now?? All pro-environmentally? I'll have to ask my brothers...
BUT THE BEST PART WAS HANSON AND PENHALL CAMEO OH MY GOD. I WANT TO WATCH THAT PART A MILLION TIMES.
I bet Johnny was happy that there were no pretty boy cops in this movie. And lol infiltrating a biker gang sounds like something he would have wanted to do on JS. Also, getting Hanson shot in the neck and dying gruesomely is definitely something he would have wanted to do on JS. Aww, Hanson and Penhall's dying buddies speech. <333 ;_;
Maybe one of these days I'll actually finish season 4...
Meanwhile I find I am unable to get the Han Solo song out of my head. (Do the trash compactor!) Maybe I'll try some Yugioh Abridged (thx, remix issue!) for a palate cleanser. (God knows that's the only way I'm ever going to watch that show.)
