This post is old and you don't know me, but while randomly searching for stuff on the internet, I stumbled upon this this morning and felt the urge to say something just because quite recently (like last week) Kirito definitely jumped up as one of my heroes. (I have known about him for a year at this point, so I'm not a total n00b.)

I just wanted to point out on the hypocrite thing. Someone up there said that Kirito betrayed himself because he's doing this solo act and he's not being The Dictator. While I appreciate that side of him, I really like the solo-side of Kirito, if you will, as well. Kirito has always been all about expressing yourself and staying true to yourself. I suppose you could argue, "Well, if he believed that, then why did he start The Dictator image?" Probably only Kirito knows that, but I think it's not so much an act or a part of him, but just a way for him to express himself. He's taking another route and experimenting with another way to do so now with his solo work. (I hope all of that made sense.)

I don't think The Dictator is really Kirito because after reading interviews of him, he's really actually closer to his solo self. But at the same time, you have to remember that PIERROT is a band not a person, therefore, it's the expression of five individuals, not just one. The band wouldn't play the way they do if they didn't at least somewhat agree with what Kirito was writing, for some who may try to say that Kirito still wrote the lyrics. There's a difference between playing and playing as weird as that may sound. Kirito still completely throws himself into the music, it's just in a different form. It's unfamiliar to people.

But personally, I think that the fans who turn their nose up to Kirito now never really understood him in the first place. As I said in the beginning, Kirito is an individualist. He believes in expressing yourself, standing up for your beliefs, etc. It's why he's so highly regarded in my book is because of that strong belief he has. And he carries it into his solo work, even if people refuse to see it. Just because he isn't up in your face all the time doesn't mean he isn't saying something. And just because he isn't commenting on something all the time doesn't mean he isn't actually saying something. Kirito is/was/always will be an enigma and I think you just have to really open your mind and look hard to see what he's getting at. But I don't think you can understand him all the time.

And as it has been previously stated, Kirito doesn't hate or despise Americans nor America, just the government. (And probably stupid people.) So just because he's in America (and has plans to eventually perform here) doesn't mean he's being hypocritical. In God Bless XmeXXXX, Kirito was getting at that people need to be careful, not so much, "OMFG, AMERICASUX0RZ!!!" And as the person above stated, lots of people hate the American government. (I'm not ashamed to say I'm one of them.)

So yes, I shall cease talking now and leave you be. I just saw that you were standing up for Kirito and had to say something, because Kirito deserves the support. PIERROT was a dream, and just because that may have been the start of it doesn't mean dreams don't change or that he didn't have this as part of his dream at the same time. Kirito's not a hypocrite, I think he's just a really highly complicated person whom no one but himself will ever probably fully understand as far as the public eye is concerned. :P
